Daily Prompt: Places

When I saw this theme “places” so many ideas jumped to my mind.  I have traveled the world quite a bit and thought maybe I should show my favorite places.  However, having spent the past 7 months in Hong Kong after being away for 12 years has made me open my eyes to the beauty of local places.  I came back to spend some quality time with my parents as they are aging.  The past 7 months has truly made me look at my hometown in a different light.  I recently made a trip to Tai O Fishing Village.  What a wonderful afternoon that was.  It is a fishing village so they make a living from selling a lot of dried fish and seafood.  Here are some pictures from there that I would like to share with you all for this week’s daily prompt.

i do wonder, is the sea star for decorating or is there a way to prepare? mmmm 🙂

Great question! Starfish are not actually fish at all. While the name implies that they are fish, starfish are actually echinoderms, which are closely related to sea urchins and sand dollars. You can boil a starfish like you do lobster and crack open when done to eat the meat. The dark grey part is the edible portion.

Amazing photos here. => Sometimes, I see too much of what’s outside my place, I neglect the prettiness that surround me. =>
